Description

The 25-ton Rear Gripping Jack is a powerful and reliable double-acting hydraulic jack designed for pre-stressing 15.2mm and 18.0mm strands and single-strand rock anchors in underground mining environments. With a 250kN capacity, this jack ensures strong, consistent performance for secure tendon support.

HOW IT WORKS

This jack is engineered for efficiency—automatically gripping and releasing the strand at the start and finish of the pre-stressing process. To achieve proper tensioning, the protruding strand must be at least 450mm long, allowing the rear gripping jaws to engage effectively. Once the tensioning is complete, any excess strand can be trimmed using a cropper.

For secure anchor wedge lock-off, the jack blocks the free movement of the wedges during stressing, ensuring a firm and lasting hold.

POWER & COMPATIBILITY

The Air Pump or Hand Pump can be used to power the jack. These units come equipped with three-position, four-way valves and can deliver hydraulic oil at pressures up to 50MPa, ensuring smooth and controlled operation.
