Description
The Whip Safety Sling, also known as a Whipcheck, is a critical safety device designed to prevent hose whip injuries in high-pressure applications. It is used extensively across the mining, construction, and industrial sectors to secure air, water, drilling, steam, and concrete hoses during operation.
Engineered for strength and reliability, the Whip Safety Sling provides essential protection by restraining hoses in the event of accidental disconnection or coupling failure, safeguarding both personnel and equipment.
HOW IT WORKS
The Whip Safety Sling is a steel cable with spring-loaded loops at each end. One loop is placed over the hose, while the opposite choker end is wrapped around the tool handle, coupling, or fixed outlet.
When properly installed, the sling restrains the hose if the coupling separates under pressure. This prevents dangerous whipping motion and minimizes the risk of injury or equipment damage.
APPLICATIONS
• Compressed air and water hose connections
• Drilling and pneumatic equipment
• Concrete and sandblasting systems
• Steam and high-pressure fluid lines
• Underground mining and industrial safety setups
